FAPA FRATERNAL
A Fraternal Organization For Podiatrists by Podiatrists
![]()

Strength in numbers.
Dear Doctor,
What would you do if you were too sick or hurt to work? It might surprise you that during the course of your career, you are three and a half times more likely to be injured and need disability coverage than you are to die. 1 If you became disabled and unable to work, how would you pay your monthly bills?
Your ability to work and earn an income is your most valuable asset. It provides your current lifestyle and financial future. Yet a disability could prevent you from earning that income – and just one year of disability could wipe out many years of savings!
Recognizing that income protection is essential for a solid financial foundation, THE FAPA FRATERNAL CORP. (FAPA) is pleased to make available a new program that provides up to a 20% discount2 on quality individual disability insurance coverage from the Principal Life Insurance Company. It protects you in your own occupation, as a podiatrist.
Types of disability insurance available through this association program include:
• Individual Disability Income Insurance – if you have a qualifying disability this policy would
provide a monthly benefit to help you meet daily living expenses
• Disability Retirement Security – if you have a qualifying disability this program would allow
you to continue saving for retirement by investing benefits [on your behalf] into a trust
Just to give you an idea of the rates, with FAPA’s discount, which are locked in at time of application and guaranteed never to increase:
For a 30 year old: For $125 per month, about $4 per day, the insurance company would pay you $6000 per month, over $2,500,000, tax-free, if you qualified.
For a 40 year old: For $183 per month, about $6 per day, the insurance company would pay you $6000 per month, over $1,780,000, tax-free, if you qualified.
For a 50 year old: For $294 per month, about $10 per day, the insurance company would pay you $6000 per month, over $1,000,000, tax-free, if you qualified.
The sooner you apply, the lower your rate will be this year and every year. Your rates are based on age, health and benefits at time of application and can never increase.
